To keep pace with growing regional demand and maintain our industry-leading reliability, Tassie Waste has invested in a new high-capacity vacuum truck designed for Tasmania’s toughest waste challenges.
With growing demand across northwest and west coast Tasmania — particularly from mining, aquaculture and remote community clients — Tassie Waste needed to expand its fleet to maintain rapid response times and service reliability. Our existing fleet was running at full capacity, with some rural clients waiting longer for septic, oily water and regulated waste collections.
We invested in a state-of-the-art vacuum truck engineered for high-volume liquid waste collection. With a capacity of approximately 7,500 litres, the new truck is fully EPA-compliant and purpose-built for Tasmanian terrain. It enhances our ability to service larger sites, respond to urgent call-outs, and manage waste from multiple sources before offloading — all while maintaining environmental and safety standards.
The new vacuum truck has increased our daily liquid waste capacity by 25%, improved response times for scheduled and emergency collections, and expanded our reach to more remote and industrial sites across the northwest. Clients now experience shorter wait times, enhanced reliability, and greater service flexibility — reinforcing Tassie Waste’s position as Tasmania’s most responsive and capable waste partner.
